MFI Capital Sdn Bhd

MFI Capital Sdn Bhd is a vertically integrated Malaysian investment company with a mandate to create sustainable financial returns, furthering the Group’s strategic objective of a globally integrated and diversified business.

It all began in the early 2016 when the founder, Mohamed Fahmi Mohamed Ilyas was first introduced to KRU Energy Asia Pte Ltd in Singapore. He saw the potential of biogas and established MFI Capital Sdn Bhd in November 2016.

MFI Capital Sdn Bhd partner KRU Energy Asia Pte Ltd – a Singapore based privately held renewable energy development company, who has co-develop utility scale renewable energy facilities for the production of renewable energy throughout the world. Together they had developed a highly unique technology that enables CHP (Combined Heat and Power) systems to produce energy up to 6 times more efficiently using a system called the PES (Power Enhancing System), an advanced kinetic energy machine that using a bio-methane gas that derived from the process of controlled bio-digestion of “Hybrid Energy Crop Sorghum” as input to generate electricity.

In the early 2017, the Company had successfully penetrated German’s biogas market when they implemented the PES to 4 of the biogas plant in Germany for test run. The machine had successfully passed the 72 hours test run without downtime conducted by the representatives of the Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy, Germany.

In Malaysia, the Company, through its local subsidiary company Rangkaian Iltizam Sdn Bhd (RI) had successfully grown over 1,200 acres of its “Hybrid Energy Crop Sorghum” in Tanah Merah, Kelantan.

This biogas project was in collaboration with Kelantan Biotech Corporation Sdn Bhd with the support of the Sustainable Energy Development Authority (SEDA).

Their objectives are to boost the rural economic development, creates job opportunity for the locals, promotes clean environment, energy independence and constant supply of organic fertilizer / cattle feed.
